Birthday countdown: Balloon Popping Calendar

Balloon Pop Count down Calendar

My sweet little girl is turning 4 this month! I can't believe it. Days..Years run so fast. The very next day after her 3rd birthday, CJ asked when is her next birthday. From then on she has been asking, asking till date. She is pretty excited about her birthday. Every morning she repeats the same question "Mommy is it my birthday?". I found a fun post - Balloon popping advent calendar from the 30 ways to play with balloon post on Hands on as we grow blog. It sounded fun, So I just made a Balloon Birthday countdown. Easy way to count the number of days remaining for the birthday.

CJ loves the popping activity. She wanted to pop all the balloons on the same day. I explained she gets to pop one balloon each day until her Birthday arrives. She is also having fun doing the countdown with the numbers.

Just blow up the balloon, tie the balloon, number the balloon with a dry erase marker/Sharpie and tape it.

  1. I can so relate to this story about your kidoo asking everyday if it's her birthday! My lil one is equally eager for her birthday. When one passed last year in Nov., the very next day she was asking how many more days for the next one!

This balloon play to keep track of number of days left for birthday is so enchanting and cute! I'm sure this will be a hit with all kids this age...

Thanks, Esther for participating in Forest Fiesta. I'm so eager to see what you guys will come up with! :)
