Hand print nativity scene Ornaments

Hand print nativity scene Ornaments
For this Christmas, I tried to decorate the Christmas tree in a meaningful way. I wanted CJ, my 3 yr old daughter to keep "Christ in Christmas". We made these  Hand print nativity scene ornaments. I was inspired by Tiny hands ornaments Jessica of Two shades of pink blog had made. At first I just thought of creating Baby Jesus alone. But CJ insisted on creating Mother Mary and St. Joseph Ornaments.

I traced her hand on Foam sheets and cut them out. But better way would be to trace the kids hand on a paper and use it as a template.

Using different colors of felt and below template, we created the nativity figures and glued them on to the foam sheet.

  1. I was so excited to get your comment about your hand tree but this has been a rough week for our family so I have not been visiting blogs as much. Anyway, I LOVE THIS!!!!!!!I never would have thought of it and it is WONDERFUL! It kept the real meaning of Christmas right in front of you and I am just wowed at your creativity. Thanks for warming my heart and letting me know my project inspired you. It encouraged me as did your lovely comment!
